The genre I choose was Travel.
In travel magazines, there are many pictures. They help support the article and help add to the overall magazine. The information in these magazines is very descriptive and persuasive. It makes the reader want to experience the beauty described in the magazine. There are not too many word included, usually more pictures. The descriptions are most likely placed on the sides of the magazine page and the picture is usually in the center. This layout style allows the audience to focus more on the beauty of the location.
Travel magazines include pictures ranging from being big to small. They are usually very colorful and are filled with bright colors.
The genre is marketed to adventures people who love to travel.
The magazine above includes a picture and description of the town Tulum. This example is shown to help the audience focus on the beauty of the town by making the colors smooth and bright. The magazine shows the description in a small font on the side of the page and includes a huge full page picture of the town.
This magazine page includes multiple bright pictures of Iceland. They have descriptions on the side and place the pictures in the middle of the page to grab the readers attention.
